I couldn’t let the summer go by without commenting on a couple of great events VOLO Athletics was a part of this year.

In late June we supported LatinCouver’s, Carnival del Sol ‘Mini World Cup’ Street Soccer Tournament. For the second year in a row, VOLO Athletics provided the Fair Trade MINI’s for all the tournament play.

Last year’s dramatic showdown between Mexico & Korea can be viewed here. The defending champions lost their title to this year’s winners: Czech Republic. Check out this video for some highlights of the festival.

Then in early July VOLO Athletics participated in the Vancouver International Soccer Festival for the first time. This was a great match for VOLO Athletics as the Festival and the Fair Trade model share the same values of Equality, Inclusion, and Respect.

As such, we supplied our Fair Trade PRO Match Ball for all the games, and prizing for the MVPs. Some 40+ teams from across the Lower Mainland came out to participate in Men’s, Women’s, and Co-Ed competition.
